MARAN Convenes Strategic Meeting on Trade Facilitation and President Tinubu’s Economic Agenda

The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) is organizing a high-level breakfast meeting on trade facilitation and its alignment with President Tinubu’s economic policies.

The event, scheduled for Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at Rockview Hotel, Apapa, Lagos, aims to bring together key stakeholders in the maritime industry to discuss strategic measures to enhance trade facilitation.

Comrade Fadipe Moses Olayemi, a renowned expert in trade facilitation and consultant to the Centre for the Promotion of Public Enterprise (CPPE), will chair the meeting.

The event will feature prominent speakers, including Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, and Barrister Pius Akutah, Executive Secretary and CEO of the Nigerian Shippers’ Council.

Dr. Muda Yusuf, CEO of the CPPE, will deliver the keynote address, while Mr. Lucky Eyis Amiwero, National President of the National Council of Managing Directors of Licensed Customs Agents, will deliver goodwill messages.

According to MARAN President Godfrey Bivbere, the meeting aims to foster collaboration between governmental bodies and private sector stakeholders to create an environment conducive to trade. He emphasized the importance of shared insights and strategies to achieve national economic goals.
