The Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) has received praise from Chief (Mrs.) Chinwe F. O. Ezenwa, Founder of Le Look House of Bags, for its significant contributions to the sustainable development of the maritime sector.

Ezenwa, a former Director in the Federal Ministry of Transportation, commended MARAN’s efforts in creating a positive impact on the industry since its establishment over 30 years ago.

She acknowledged the association’s role in consistently bringing burning issues in the maritime industry to the public domain.

The praise came when MARAN presented Ezenwa with a plaque in appreciation of her generous contribution to the successful hosting of the 2024 edition of MARAN’s Maritime Annual Lecture (MAMAL).

Rev. John Iwori, a multiple award-winning journalist and Publisher of Maritime Bits, presented the plaque on behalf of MARAN.

Ezenwa expressed her gratitude and promised to continue contributing to the sustainable development of the maritime industry.

MARAN, established over three decades ago, remains the umbrella body of media practitioners covering the maritime industry, with its secretariat located in Apapa, Lagos.
