The Apostolic Church Nigeria Elects New National Officers as Pastor Oladele Emerges President

The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN) has elected new national officers, with Pastor Dr. Lawrence Olusesan Oladele emerging as the new President.

The election, which took place on February 6, 2025, at the National Headquarters of the Church in Lagos, saw Pastor Oladele secure 388 votes, defeating his closest contender, Pastor Jude O. D. Ekele, who polled 196 votes.

Other newly elected officers include Pastor E. U. Johnson as Vice President, Pastor Prof Benjamin B. Fakae as National Secretary, and Pastor O.A. Nyong as National Finance Secretary.

The outgoing National President, Pastor Dr Sampson E. Igwe, announced the results of the election.

In his acceptance speech, Pastor Oladele appreciated the efforts of the outgoing national officers and pledged to be humble and patient in learning from them.

He emphasized the importance of cooperation and unity, stating that “we are the same, we need you, we need to cooperate together, the Church must move forward, and we are one.”

The newly elected officers are expected to be inducted in August 2025. The Apostolic Church Nigeria is a multifunctional Pentecostal Christian denomination with a focus on evangelism and holy life living according to biblical principles.
