The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has provided an update on its ongoing recruitment exercise, which began with an official advertisement published in national newspapers on December 27, 2024.
A total of 3,927 vacancies have been declared across three cadres: Superintendent, Inspectorate, and Customs Assistant.
Key Highlights
Application and Documentary Scrutiny*: The Service received 573,523 applications, with 286,697 candidates shortlisted for the next phase.
Computer-Based Test (CBT)*: The CBT will be conducted online from September 14th to 21st, 2025, and candidates can choose any location with reliable internet access.
Pre-Test Exercise*: A mandatory pre-test exercise will be conducted two days before the actual CBT to familiarize candidates with the application.
Additional CBT for Superintendent Cadre*: Candidates applying for the Superintendent Cadre (Level 8) will be invited for an additional CBT in the next phase of the recruitment exercise.
Guidelines for Candidates
Technical Requirements*: Candidates must use a laptop or desktop computer with a webcam and full-screen display.
Facial Verification*: A facial verification process will be carried out during login, and candidates are advised to maintain a neat appearance.
Test Conduct*: Candidates must remain focused throughout the test, avoiding excessive movement, whispering, or background distractions.

The NCS assures stakeholders that the recruitment process is strictly merit-driven and transparent.
Successful candidates will be informed of subsequent phases through official communication channels.
