

In a ceremony marked by respect and anticipation, Comptroller Godwin Otunla assumed office as the new Customs Area Controller of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Command, Nigeria’s premier aviation hub.
In his inaugural address, Otunla paid tribute to his predecessor, Comptroller MT AWE, who is retiring after distinguished service, and outlined his vision for the Command.
“I am committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and service delivery,” he declared.

Otunla urged officers to remain dedicated and law-abiding, and invited stakeholders to partner with the Command to drive excellence. “Together, we shall raise the bar of performance and institutional integrity,” he said.
Comptroller Awe in his farewell address, reflected on his tenure, highlighting the Service’s achievements in revenue generation, security, and trade facilitation.
“I am proud of what we have accomplished together,” he said. “I am confident that the command is in good hands with Comptroller G A Otunla.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials, stakeholders, and colleagues, who witnessed the beginning of a new chapter in the Command’s history.
With Otunla at the helm, the Murtala Muhammed Area Command is poised to soar to greater heights.
