The Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) has concluded a 5-day Water Hyacinth Recycling Training Program, equipping 50 women and youths in Epe with skills to transform invasive water hyacinth into innovative products.
The initiative, partnered with Mitimeth, promotes environmental responsibility and economic empowerment .

LASWA aims to expand similar initiatives statewide, fostering sustainable livelihoods and environmental stewardship.
The Authority has already trained over 450 women and youths across Lagos’ riverine .
