The Commissioner of Police Ports Authority Police (Western) Command, CP Olanrewaju Olawale Ishola psc+ mnips has pledged maximum security for lives and facilities within and around Ports in his command today being the June 12 the Democracy Day in Nigeria.
The CP revealed that his command has mapped out strategies to ensure a close protection of critical national Infrastructure at the Apapa Port, Tincan Island Port, Lekki Deep-Sea Port and other lighter terminals which are critical facilities to the nation’s economy.
Olarenwaju promised that the Command will ensure free flow of traffic in and out of all port complexes to avoid all forms of vehicular clustering in and around the ports corridors as no form of road blockage, harassment, or intimidation of law-abiding Nigerians will be tolerated.
He therefore encouraged all law abiding citizens that are doing legitimate business at the ports to remain faithful to their oaths and go about their lawful businesses as the command would not hesitate to bring to book any person or group of persons that tries to infringe on the fundamental human rights of other Nigerians.
