The Africa Social Impact Summit (ASIS) 2024 is poised to be a landmark event, featuring esteemed leaders from the United Nations, Columbia University, and Sterling One Foundation.
The summit, scheduled for July 25-26 at the Eko Convention Centre in Lagos, will convene under the theme “Reimagining Progress: A New Blueprint for Sustainable Growth in Africa.”
Amina Mohammed, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Jeffrey Sachs, renowned economist and Director of the Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University, will headline the event. Their expertise in sustainable development, global economic development, and poverty alleviation will provide a framework for discussions on creating economic opportunities, reducing inequalities, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across Africa.
Abubakar Suleiman, CEO of Sterling Bank, will share insights on sustainable business practices and economic development, while Olapeju Ibekwe, CEO of the Sterling One Foundation, will facilitate collaborations on initiatives driving social impact.
