The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN) has announced a new retirement age for ministers, pegging it at 75 years. This decision was made during the 48th Annual LAWNA International Convention held on August 4, 2024, at Olorunda-Ketu.

The church’s leadership, led by Pastor Sampson Igwe, has been working towards implementing a retirement policy for ministers, a move initiated by the late Pastor Gabriel Oladele Olutola.

A 7-man Retirement Implementation Committee was inaugurated to oversee the process, chaired by Pastor A.B. Geoffrey. The committee will ensure a smooth transition and enforce the new retirement age policy.

This development marks a significant shift in TACN’s approach to ministerial work, as previously, ministers worked until death or incapacitation. The move aims to bring in younger leaders and ensure the church’s continued growth and development.
