In a grand ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Oba Akintola Imran Ayodeji, a retired Customs officer will be coronated as the Alua of Erin Oke Ijesha Kingdom in Ijesha Land, Osun State.

Oba Akintola, fondly called Kabiesi, has completed the traditional seclusion rituals (Ipebi) and secured the approval of Osun State Governor, Adeleke.

His illustrious career in the Customs Service spanned various commands, including Tincan, Murtala Muhammed Airport, and Seme-Krake Border.

As a retired Customs officer, Oba Akintola’s coronation is expected to draw attendance from several retired Customs officers, including DC Bola Sarumi, AC Tolani, Akim, and CSC Ayo Amusa.

Although efforts to reach prominent Erin Oke Ijesha indigenes, such as Dr. Christopher Kolade, were unsuccessful, Oba Akintola assured that all prominent indigenes of the Kingdom are in support of his coronation.

Following his coronation, Oba Akintola will be addressed as the Akintulurese Ilufemuliye 1, the Alua of Erin Oke Ijesha Kingdom. The kingdom is situated within Ijesha Land in Osun State, South West Nigeria.
