In spite of encountering challenges during data collection, the Tincan Island Port  Command (TIPC) cargo Time Release Study (TRS) is nearing completion and is expected to be released in September, according to Comptroller Dera Nnadi, Customs Area Controller(CAC)  of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS). The Nigeria Customs Service, Federal Operations Unit, Zone B,has announced the tragic death of Inspector of Customs Hamza Abdullahi Elenwo, who fell victim to a suspected smuggler's vehicle while attempting to evade arrest on Friday, July 12, 2024, in Jigawa State. According to the statement, Inspector Elenwo, was described as a dedicated officer with over a decade year of service, but was fatally injured during a stop and search operation along Daura-Kano Road in Achilafia. The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Tincan Island  Port Command (TIPC) has announced a remarkable revenue generation of N575.5 billion in the first half of 2024, representing a 221.13% increase compared to the same period in 2023. The Command also reported a significant increase in export value and volume, with Soya beans leading the pack at N92.059 billion.
