The Murtala Muhammed Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service has achieved a significant milestone in revenue generation, collecting a total of N80.4 billion in customs duty and other charges between January and June 2024. This represents a 107.5% increase compared to the same period in 2023. Under the leadership of Comptroller Michael Toyin Awe, the Command has implemented strategies in line with World Customs best practices, facilitating trade and reducing cargo clearance time.
